THE WEST COAST.
The West ('oast oi' the South lblancl has so long been regarded as a pocket constituency for the discredited Liberals, that it conies as a- shock to tho systems of the scalp-hunters to find Ji Minister of the Iteform Party being received with enthusiasm in those 1 parts. The fact is that the West Coast, like other .parts* of the Dominion, is awakening to a realisation that the country was being run to death by place-seekers, am! it is relieved to find that a party has come to power that is prepared to give a square deal to all sections of tlie community, irrespective of creed or colour. The New Zealand Times has made a bitter personal attack upon Mr F. M. B. Fisher in connection with his visit to the ('-oast, and has employed language which will cause tho intelligent electors of tlie West Coast to repudiate a party whieli would descend to sncli despicable-me-thods of political warfare.
