THE MONTE CARLO MURDER.
TRIAL OF THE GOULDS COMMENCED. Received December 4. 7.47 a.m. MONTE CARLO, December 3. The trial has begun of Mr and Mrs Goold for the murder of Madame Levin. Goold blamed himself exclusively. In reply to the judge he described the details of the crime with an inhuman air of boredom. The motive of the journey of himself and his wife to Marseilles was their fancy for bouillabaispe (a chowder made of fresh fish or clams, biscuit, onions, etc., otewed together).
