STRANGE STORY.
MURDER IN RUSSIAN POLAND. A COURAGEOUS WOMAN. Received December 4, 8.58 a.m. ST. PETERSBURG, Dec. 3. A strange story has reached here from Russian Poland. Two persons, dressed as a man and woman, but who, it was later discovered, were both men, sought and obtained shelter at a farm in Sosnowice. The supposed woman feigned sickness, and the farmer drove the other man at night towards a village in order to secure the aid of a doctor. While on the way, the man killed and robbed the farmer. - Meanwhile the supposed woman tried to rob the farmer's wife. The latter pretended to yield up her valuables, but while, the. robber was.in- . specting them she killed him with an axe. The other robber returned to the house later on, but the woman was on the watch and killed him while he | was entering the door.
