AN INDISCREET PROFESSOR.
Received November 6, 8.30 a.m. BERLIN, November 5. Professor Burgess, at whose lecture the Kaiser cheered President Roosevelt, caused great indignation by describing Monroeism, in the Emperor's presence, as antiquated and senseless, and advising foreigners to trust sucb men at himself as the ambassadors of peace and civilisation. Professor Burgess will not be allowed to tako part in the American Embassy banquet.
