LESLIE HARRIS.
To-night in the Town Hall Mr Leslie Harris will make his debut, In Melbourne the highest praise was given Mr Harris by both press and public. Mr Harris adopts the late J. L. Toole's advice as to amusing the public, "Make 'em laugh," says a contemporary. He has a natural gift of humour, a sweet singing voice, excellent facial expression, and a great command of dialect. He gives a great variety of musical sketches and humorous songs, interspersed with now, funny stories. He is a thorough musician, and bis performances on the piano are alone a special treat. To-night, amongst numerous other items, he will give his humorous musical sketch, "Old Songs and New, Books." He will also give several humorous musical illustrations, including—A Recital nla Mode, The Possibilities of a Molody (with illustrations in the fjtyles of Mendelssohn, Uhopiu, and Wagner), Amateur Operatics, a humorous song, "The Ladies' Penny Papor,'" musical monologue "Xmas Bolls," and a short pantomimic sketch "Silent Orators." Miss Roaina Buokmann will sing—"A Summer Night" (Goring Thomas). "The Dewdrop and the Rose" (Johns), "Three Green Bonnets" "The Birth of Dawn" (Leoni), etc. The season is for two nights only. The box plan as open at Miss Rive's, and tne doors will open at 7 o'clook.
