WAIRARAPA THURSDAY RUGBY UNION.

MEETIiNG OF MANAGEMENT COMMITTEE. A meeting of the management Committee of the Wairarapa Thursday Rugby Union wa3 held in the Carterton last night. There were present Measts J. Wickens, (chairman), K. Armstrong, J. Carter, G. Smith, J. Wallis, and Frank O'Connor. A letter was received from the Bush Rugby Uniou agreeing to play a senior representative match with the Wairarapa Union un Thursday, August 9th. Messrs Armstrong and O'Connor were appointor] a committee to make the uecessary arrange ments for entertaining the Bush team. The Goldßn Bay Bugby Union wrote asking that the senior representative match bo played on August 23rd instead of September 6tb. Th» alteration in the date was agreed to. It was decided to play the Horowheuua- Wairarapa representative match at Carterton on August 30fcb. It was resolved to pay the visitors expenses during their stay in Carterton. The secretary was instructed to write to the Wairarapa Union with reference to the registration of colours. It was decided to submit the names of all playiug members of each club under the union to the Classification Committee for classification. The protest of the Literal Cluh against the Albion Club on the grounds that the Albions had played a man whom it was alleged had not been in the district for 14 days was dismissed. If was decided to refund the deposit to the Liberal Club. The appeal of the Kia Tos Club against the deoision of the Management Committee was referred to the Appeal Committee. It was resolved to grant no more transfers during thepreseut season. Mr J. Wallis gave notice Jof his intention to move at the annual meeting:—'"That no transfers be grouted to any player after the conclusion of tho second round." ' Tho drawings for the third round of the Junior Championship are as follow: Rover v. Kia Toa, at Masterton referee, Mr F. O'Connor. Albion v. Liberal at Carterton; referee, Mr E. MoKenzie. Rover v. Albion, at Carterton; referee, Mr E. MoKenzie. Kia Toa v. Liberal, at Featherston; referee, Mr W. Tinney. 1 Albion v. Kia Toa, at Masterton; referee, Mr A. B. Charters. Liberal v. Ruver, at Carterton; referee, Mr E. MoKenzie. The matter of arranging dates for tho above matches was left in the hands of the secretary.
