WAITAHUNA LADIRS v. LAWMOTE .UI'CII SCHOOL GIRLS. A Wailaliiina correspondent writes : Tin' return match which was played between Lawrence High School ami iVailahunn teams on • Wednesday last proved very enjoyable to both l hough hardly as exciting ;l s had ht'eu anticipated. The game was played on the Waitaliuna ground under pellet conditior.fi—a fine dav and linn ground —and resulted in a somewhat easy win fur U'ailahuna by fhree goals lonil. It was quili' evident from the first thai the local girls were goiug to have it all their own way. They played a good solid .jam" ii'l through, especially on the left where most of the play was, and there wore, some noticeable good players amongst (hem. The Lawnnce girls did some jood work but seemed to lack combination and did not appear to advantage as in the fontjcr match on their own ground. The goals were shot bv K Ryan, M. Cameron, and ('. Ivllis. Mr Cowan controlled the <r.'imc. and gave every satisfaction tjuite a mtm'h»'r of spectators were present, each side having its full share of supporters. The. visitors were entertained at tea by the local girls and a pleasant evening! was spent in g'ames, music, &c., till the train arrived.
