OTAGO LAND BOARD,
At the weekly meeting of the Otago Crown Lands Board, held in Duedin on Tuesday afternoon, the following business oflocal interest was transacted: —
Tuapeka and Waitaki County Councils forwarded a statement of proposed expenditure of ( tbirxU * and 'fourths' for period April 1 to August 3, 1901,— Approved, Banger Hughan reported on the application by H. B. Auld to purchase louthern portion of section. 31, block 83, town of Havelock. — Declined. Banger Hugbaa reported on tbe application by John Grant to purchase northern portion of section 31, block 33, town of Havelock. — Applicant to_ : be offered a license at 5s per annum.
David Arnold wrote renewing his application for a small portion of Grown lands adjoining Bection 19, block 2, Tiger Hill district.— Referred to the ranger for a report.
