Stafford street, Dunedin, report for week ending March 1, as follows : — Wheat. — We have little or nothing to report re this cereal, as the market is perfectly stagnant, and buyers trill not consider speculation at present. The market at Home shows no improvement, and the outlook is not very promising. We quote prime Tuscan and velvet, 2s 8d to 2s lOi ; medium to good, 2s 5d to 2a 7d. Oats.— This market still remains firm, although it is slightly easier, an J speculators are holdiDg back a little. We quote prime milling and bright heavy feed at Is lOd to Id lid ; good, Is 8J to Is 9]»d. Birley. — There has not been a great deal of this changing hands, although w& have sold some good siz-d parcels at saligi factory prices. Cropa are not so plentiful this year, and we would not be snrpripVS to see a good demand. Prime malting jtj present is worth 3a 3d to 3* 6d; extjr* prime a little nrore ; go id, 3s to 3s 3J. Chaff.— The market for this has fallen -slightly, as supplier exceed demand. Prime oaten sheaf ii worth £2 10$ to £2 < 16s ; good, £2 2« 61 to £2 7s 6i. Grass Seed.— This market is very quiet and parcels are very difficult to place, although it will likely brighten again before the season closes. Prime machinedressed is worth 3a to 3s 3d ; extra clean farmers-dressed, 2s 9d to 2j lid ; inferior and dir'y, 2s to 2a Cd. *' Wool. — Small lots are coming to bajg| slowly, and we would urge upon farmers the necessity of forwarding any bales or bags they may have at an early date.
