Friday, 17th February. Meeting of stockowners in Mr J. T. Miles's office, Tapanui, re branding and ear-marking, at 4 p.m.

Saturday return tickets are issuable by the Bailway Department from the 21st to 25th instant, and available for return up to sth March, in connection with the Dunedin autumn race-meeting. A reward is offered for the recovery of abay mare which strayed from the Masonic stables. Tuesday, the 14th instant, is the last day on which the property-tax can be received without the addition or the 10 per cent. The official declaration for the polling for the Waitahuna Licensing Committee is announced elsewhere. The Committee meet on the 18th inst. to appoint a Chairman. The Lawrence Licensing Committee meet in the Courthouse on Tuesday, 14th instant, at 11 a.m., to appoint a Chairman for the current term. Dr Copland will preach to-morrow in the Presbyterian Church, Lawrence, at 11 a.m. and 7 p.m.; and at Blue Spur at 3 p.m. Mr P. M'Forlane, draper, announces that he intends giving up business in Lawrence at an early date.

All payments for work done by Mr T. Doods, tailor, since Ist January, have to be mode to him only. Mr J. Edie receives tenders up to the 17th inst. for erecting a loft in his stable.
