LAWRENCE DISTRICT HIGH SCHOOL.
The monthly meeting of the above Committee was held on Wednesday evening. Present — Messrs Jeffery (Chairman), Copland, Harrop, M'lntosh, Uren, and Arbuckle.
A letter from the Rector stated that the proceeds of the late school concert, given by the children, amounted to £9 19s 6d. The attendance report for the month showed that the average daily attendance was 302-2.
The following accounts were paaaed for payment :— John Gaskie, £2 7s 6d ; F. Brooks, 2a; Thoa. Arthur, 6s 9d; G. Jeffery, £3 125. It was agreed that Messrs Fraer, Brown, and Snmpter receive the vote of the Committee for Beats on the Education Board. — Mr Harrop proposed that Miss Free* man's name be substituted for that of Mr Sumnter, bub the motion ways lost.
