WOOL SALE.
Mr Donaid Sthonaoh (on behalf of the New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company, limited) reports having held his second wool sale of this season on Tueday, when he submitted a catalogue of 1,072 bales.6 f«dges,and 112 bags.of which he sold 970 bales, 5 fadges, and 105 bagc. All the local buyers were in full muster, and supplemented by four foreign buyers, some of them just arrived frcm the Melbourne sales. Throughout bidding was spirited, every lot being well competed for, and prices obtained were fully better than those realised at the opening sale. Medium cross-breds brought 6fd to 8d ; light do., BJd to 9£d ; medium half-bred, 7i«* to Bjd; light do., 9d to lOJd; three-quarter, bred, 8d to lOf d ; medium merino, 7£d to 9d ; light do., 9£d to Hid ; long-wool, 6d to 7£d.
The Couaty Clerk notifies through our advertising columns that he has been instructed to sue for the recovery of rates without further notice.
