M'Kenzie, who bowled exceedingly well, got 5 wickets fur 23 runs. Lawrence then went in, and before the last wicket fell had put together the large score of 100 runs — 41 ahead of the Southern. Roscow (29), Irvine (24), and Ferguson (13, not out) played very well for the local team, doing some hard hitting. Carroll did most of the trundling, getting 6 wickets for 22 runs. The Southern, on going to the wickets a second time, scored 75 runs. Johnson played well for 24 runs ; as did also T. Home (22) and Gordon (12).
