THE SYDNEY HORSE MARKET.
Messrs Ingiis AKD Co. report :— The market was fairly supplied with horses during the past week, for which there was a good demand. Heavy draught stock are wanted, and the sup- ( ply was not equal to demand. Harness and 'active horses, were well represented, also light horses, all of which sold readily at late rates. Prices remain unaltered unless for heavy and extra heavy draughts which are scarce and a shade stiffer in price. The following summary of our sales will give ruling prices this week:— 9 extra heavy draught horses from £43 to £50, 28 hesvy draught £38 to £40, 12. 'cart Horses' £18 to £28, 17 rueful B harness horses £15 to- £25, 35 light harness horses from £5 to £15, 35 head of light horses £1 to £4.,. At the Canperdown .we sold 21 nice ; light horses. for^James Devoy,'and for Messrs Buffier and Stephenson 27 head of superior ' h'oraes at late quotations.'
