Report for the week ending Friday evening, the 22nd. inst. :— ■ There is no change to report in tbe state of the grain market. Extreme dulness prevails and sales are difficult to effect even at ihe market quotations. English advices continue to report a weaVened tone, which to some extent is influencing our local market. Wheat.— Good sound Tuscan 4s 3d to 4s4d ter bushel f.0.b. ; other wheats in similar condition, 4> 2d to 4s 3d, f.0.b. ; second class samples "dry and fit for milling, 3s 3d to 3s 8d per bushel, delivered in Christchurch ; chick wheat, 2s 8d to 2s 9i per bushel, "delivered in Chriitchurcb. Oats.— Bright and stout milling quality, 2s to 2b lid per bushel," fiO.b. ; long oats (feed), Is 8d to Is lid per bushel, f.o.b. or delivered in'Chrittchufch. ' ' > Barley. — First elf si malting samples, 4s 4d . to 4s 7d per buiht.l delivered in Christchurrh ; second class malting and' feed 'qualiry, 2s 4.4 to 3s 6d per bushel, delivered in phristchurch or f.oib. ' ' ' • r Potatoes.— Business in tbe tuber is exceedingly slack, and buyers are extremely diffident about speculating; 30s to 32s 6d is offered, delivered in Christchurch;' Buyers, however are not disposed to accept. ' ' : ! Cheese and Butter.— 6d to s£d fqr the former, 11 to Hid for the latter (kegs extra).
