Wrestling Affiliation.
Dear Sir, —In your issue of June 22 you published George Walker’s comments on the advice that the Auckland Wrestling Association had agreed to acknowledge the Pioneer Athletic Club, Wellington, as the governing body of Dominion wrestling. My association would be obliged if you would kindly give equal publicity to the following letter received from the secretary of the Auckland Wrestling Association:— Re George Walker.—Our attention has been drawn to a statement made by the above wrestler to a Press representative at Hastings that the Auckland Wrestling Association had broken away from the Dominion Wrestling Union. This statement is quite contrary tp fact. My association has no intention whatsoever of cutting adrift from the organisation that is controlling wrestling in New Zealand. We wish to make this statement in case the Press report, which may be copied in your papers, might 'lead to some misgivings on your part as to the loyalty of the Auckland Wrestling Association. —I am, etc., lI.A. BARRETT. Secretary, Canterbury Wrestling Association.
