A Lost Recipe.
Dear Sir,—About two years ago there was published in the “ Star ” a recipe for chilblains, which a friend of mine who is in business and gets them very bad on her hands found the best she had ever tried. I think it was equal parts of whisky, glycerine, lemon juice or methylated spirits. I would be so grateful if any of your correspondents could tell me what is right. I can recommend it to anyone suffering from chilblains.—l am, etc., E. JAMES.
