Rugby as She is Played.
Dear Sir,—l notice your valued paper records that no fewer than three young men who played football on Hagley Park on Saturday afternoon finished up in hospital. It would appear that the site of the hospital was selected with an eye to business. Police intervention stopped a wrestling match at Greymouth on Friday night on account of rough work, but what about these football casualties? Incidentally, I have noticed in the Press that two young men have lost their lives on the playing fields of Wellington this season. —I am, etc., ALL QUIET ON HAGLEY PARK.
