TRAMWAY GENERAL RATE.
A resolution confirming the levying of the tramway general rate for the year ended March 31. 1936, was passed at a special meeting of the Christchurch Tramway Board to-day. The general rate is of .07832582 d in the pound on the capital value of all ratable property in the tramway district. The rate will be levied and collected by the Christchurch City Council, the New Brighton, Sumner and Ricearton Borough Councils, and the Waimairi, Paparua, Heathcote and Ilalswell County Councils within their respective districts.
