PROPOSAL REJECTED.
Universal Half-holiday for New Zealand. Per Press Association. MARTON, This Day. A move for a universal half-holidav in the Dominion was summarily rejected by “a very largely attended meeting of business interests in Marton. The following resolution was carried unanimously: “That this fully representative meeting emphatically protests against any interference with the existing right of each district to select the half-holiday best suited to local conditions.”
