The record for Canterbury Gun Clubs was broken at a special shoot at Meth. ven on Saturday, when in a shoot-off. in the fifteen-bird match, two of those with possibles went to the fiftvlsixth round. H. M. Wright (Christchurch I beating I. G. Watkins (Rangiora). Wat kins went right through 71 birds on the first barrel. Wright using the second only four times.
