DOUBLE PROGRAMME
Katharine Hepburn’s latest and most successful film, “Spitfire,” and a thrilling drama of the oilfields in . which Regis Toomey takes the leading role, comprise the excellent double-feature programme at the Liberty Theatre. Admirable entertainment is provided by “Spitfire.” Katharine Hepburn’s films have always created sensations and her latest is quite as successful as its predecessors. Regis Toomey and Evelyn Knapp are faultlessly’ cast in “State Trooper.” the other big feature. There are thrills in plenty in this drama, and these are combined with not a little humour and romance. The action takes place at an oil refinery, where a profiteering concern is endeavouring to gain control of the plant.
