PARTY AT MARSHLAND.
A surprise party, organised by Misses Joan Geddis and Doreen Blackburn, visited the home of Mr and Mrs D. Boyd, Radcliffo Road, on Saturday evening to celebrate the eighteenth birthday of their daughter MaVis. Games, musical items, dancing and competitions -'■’ere enjoyed. The winners of the competitions were Jean Wilkinson, Mavis Boyd, Harry Schimanski and Keith and lan Harris. An exhibition of tap-danc-ing was given by Miss Mavis Andrews, and music was supplied by Miss Doreen Blackburn and Mr lan Harris. On behalf of those present. Miss Peggy Blackburn presented Miss Mavis Boyd with a handsome handbag. Miss Boyd suitably Among those present were: Mr and Mrs Boyd. Mrs T.
