CALL ACCEPTED.
A call from the Malvern congregation for the services of Mr L. W. Rothwell was approved by the Christchurch Presbytery at a special meeting this morning. After Mr Rothwell had formally accepted the call, it was decided that his ordination and induction should take place at Sheffield on June 14, at 2 p.m. The ceremony will be performed by the Moderator (the Rev G. W. Hercus) and the service will be conducted by the interim Moderator of the Malvern Presbytery (the Rev T. Paterson). The Rev A. C. Watson will address the congregation. The call was supported on behalf of the Malvern congregation by Mr Paterson, who said it had been an exceedingly unanimous one. At a meeting held this month it had been decided that the call should be placed in Mr Roth well's hands. Messrs W. Giimour and J. Gillanders also gave their support to the call. Mr Gilmour said that the charge was a scattered one, and a young, energetic man like Mr Rothwei: could do good work in the district. Mr Roth-well expressed his pleasure at being called to take over the Malvern charge and thanked Mr Paterson for his assistance.
