CONSTABLE’S APPEAL.

A sitting of a Board of Appeal, consisting of Mr H. A. Young, S.M. (chairman), Mr D. C. Fraser, Superintendent of Police, Dunedin, and Mr F. H. Christian, J.P., began in the Magistrates’ Court to-day to hear the appeal of a constable against his conviction for a breach of the police regulations. Mr Twvneham appeared for the appellant, and Senior-Sergeant Fox represented the Police Department. The hearing is a private one, and will occupy some days.
