Picnics Held by Schools and Firms. Parents and scholars of the Wharenui School, to the number of about 400, held their annual picnic at Sefton. complete arrangements had been made by the committee, who were assisted by members of the teaching staff. On February 17 members of the Shirley Cricket Club held a very enjoyable picnic at Stewart's Gully. The day was spent in racing, cricket and swimming.
