Samson 1, P. Reardon 2. School Hours Extended. Normal school hours were observed at both the Lyttelton District High School and the West Lyttelton School yesterday. For the past fortnight the children attended only until 12.30 p.m. Cricket. A friendly. cricket match was played between the Lyttelton Miniature Rifle Cricket Club and MacFarlane’s team at Officers’ Point on Sunday afternoon. MacFarlane’s team, batting first, scored 57 runs, the Lyttelton team replying with 133. MacFarlane’s scored 125 in their second innings and Lyttelton 82. Lyttelton won by a wicket and 17 runs. Personal. Mr D. Kerr, marine superintendent for the Canterbury Steamship Company, is suffering from an injured leg.
