BAR IN GOOD ORDER.

At a meeting of the Waimakariri Harbour Board held last evning the signalman reported that since last meeting the scow Ngahau had made thirteen trips up the river with sheep. After the h :.avy south-easterly seas of last week the bar was again in good order. Th • river channel at the mouth was still moving slowly south. From the bar to the junction of the Kaaapoi reach the channel showed from sft to Bft at low tide. At the junction soundings showed 3ft 6in.
