Anzac Stamps.
To Mark Anniversary This Year.
TN connection with Anzac Anniversary stamps, the “ Australian Stamp Month ly” says:— “ Special stamps to commemorate Anzac Day this year—the 20th anniversary of the landing—will be issued by the Australian Postal Department. The stamps will be of 2d and Is denomination, and will be ready about the middle of March. The issue is being made mainly to meet the wishes of the Returned Soldiers’ League, which suggested a special anniversary stamp. “ The feature of the design will be a Cenotaph similar to that in London, surrounded by a laurel wreath. The 2d stamp will be red, but the colour of the Is has not yet been decided.”
