Due Back To-day.
Byrd Expedition Ship Near Port. (Special to the " Star.”) DUNEDIN, This Day. rpHE Byrd Expedition ship, Jacob Rup- "*■ pert, will arrive back here to-day about 4.30 p.m.. The Bear of Oakland is expected to-morrow or Wednesday. Should the Jacob Ruppert be delayed she will be berthed at Port Chalmers to-night and come on to Dunedin to-morrow. The news of the imminent arrival of the Jacob RuP* pert indicates that the vessel has met with better weather during the last few days, as a message received last week stated that she had been struck by numerous squalls since she left Little America. It is probable that the Jacob Ruppert will remain in port for a few days before leaving for America.
