Richmond Hill Club in Good Position. Entering its twenty-fifth year of existence the Richmond Hill Golf Club, Sumner, Is In a satisfactory position. In the annual report to be presented at the meeting of members in the Sumner Borough Council Chambers on Thursday, February 28, at 7.45 p.m., it is recorded that the club has a total of 169 members, and that last year finances showed a credit balance of £54 Bs. The report states that the course was never in better condition than it was last season, tees and greens having been further enlarged and a good deal of drainage work done. Since the close of the season a start has been made with a new No. 6 green, but this would not be gone ahead with immediately as the club could not afford the extra labour necessary. The social activities of the club have been well maintained. Avondale Club. The official opening of the 1935 season will take place on the Avondale links on Saturday, March 2, when members will take part in a mixed Canadian foursome.
