LUXURY FLATS.
Facing the river, in a position which might be called ideal by those who wish to live within easy reach of .town yet apart from its bustle, an old house at 41, Cambridge Terrace, has been transformed into an extremely attractive building of modern flats. Where once there was a tangled garden there is now’ a spacious approach, which will in time be flanked by sunken lawns and ornamental trees in tubs. The entrance hall is richly carpeted, and everything has been done to make the impression one of comfort and warmth. There are three flats, each self-contained, comprising a livingroom, bedroom, bathrobm and kitchenette. There is also a bed-sitting-room flat. The colour schemes in the principal flats are primrose, apple-green, and rose and cream. Every modern device has been incorporated in the flats. Bedrooms and living rooms have open fires, electric lighting, and points for- radio attachments, and one side of the room is taken up with window space. There is a maximum of light in all rooms. Sunken baths, shaving cabinets, wash basins and cupboards are installed in bathrooms, and there is a constant supply of hot water. Private telephone cabinets, sound-proof, are a speciallv useful feature. In the kitchenettes, labour-saving devices on the latest model have been installed. There is ample cupboard space, and sinks, gas stoves, bins and other fittings are incorporated. The flats give the impression of neing luxury dwellings, and one realises that expense has not been spared in making them everything that tenants ! could want. They are self-contained 1 little homes. 1109
