The tiger has a greater claim than the lion to be called “ the king of beasts.” In the jungle the tiger is a much finer-looking animal, has more courage, and much more strength than the lion. The strength of the tiger is said to be equal to that of nine average men, whereas that of the lion is equal to the strength of only five men.
