LIVES MODESTLY.

Romance of Millionaire’s Daughter. HOME BEHIND GARAGE. A millionaire’s daughter lives in a tiny house at Riverhead (England), within two miles of her father’s mansion, says the London “ Daily Express.” She is Mrs T. B. Knight, daughter of Mr Edward Meyerstein, the stockbroker, whose gifts to hospitals total more than £300,000. Mr Meyerstein’s mansion stands in magnificent grounds at Dunton Green. His daughter’s little home is behind a garage, of which her husband is proprietor. A romantic story here. . . . almost like a fairy tale, complete with the happy-ever-after ending. Several 3'ears ago Mrs Knight, then living in the mansion, and “ Bert ” Knight, the garage proprietor, fell in love. They were married. Mrs Knight left her mansion home for the new-found happiness awaiting her in the modest house behind the garage. Now Mr and Mrs Knight have two children. And Mr Knight’s best customer is his millionaire father-in-law. Recently Mr Meyerstein spent £3OOO in one day at the garage. He bought a new car. Mrs Knight goes back to the mansion frequently to see her father. She went there before Christmas to attend a house party. . . . met again all her father’s friends. . . . They drank champagne together. But she returned to the little house behind the garage.
