Dumas Classic to Run Third Week. " The Count of Monte Cristo,” which is enjoying a phenomenally successful season in Christchurch, will enter the third week of its run at the Pla?a Theatre to-morrow. Alexandre Dumas' everrpopular romance of the years immediately following the fall of Napoleon does not suffer in its adaptation to the talking screen when the principal roles are in the hands of two such stars as Robert Donat and Elissa Landi. supported by a highly capable cast. The scenes so vividly described in the book are faithfully reproduced, while Donat is exactly the Edmond Dantes that thousands of lovers of the book have pictured to themselves. His betraval by Mondego, Danglars and de Villefort is one of the episodes in fiction and is handled as such, while the hardships of his hfe in the dungeon of the Chateau . It are not dwelt on long enough to sicken the audience, although they are cleverly suggested. The supports are excellent. Box plans at the D.I.C.
