SYMPATHY FOR JAPAN.
United Pres© Assn.— By Electric Telegraph—Copyright, SYDNEY, February 14. “Japan is entitled to more sympathetic attention to her problems from the British Empire and particularly from Australia and New Zealand.” said Mr W. E. Barnard, M.P., who is returning to New Zealand after a visit to Japan. “When you come down the Australian coast and see the immense country it makes you think—and I suppose it makes the Japanese think too,” added Mr Barnard, after referring to Japan’s overcrowded condition.
