KAIAPOI REGATTA.
At a meeting of the Kaiapoi Regatta Committee final arrangements were made for the annual regatta to be held on the Waimakariri River at Kaiapoi to-morrow. Entries have been received from Union, Avon, Cure, Canterbury, Sumner-Redcliffs and Akaroa. Including heats and finals, twenty-eight races will take place. Arrangements have been completed with the Maoris of Tuahiwi to be present with their canoes, which were a feature of the recent river carnival in Christchurch, and a Maori canoe race will add interest to the programme. The regatta will conclude with a regatta ball to be held in the Orange Hall at night.
