FAREWELL PARTY.
Mrs Ray Soanes was hostess yesterday at a bridge party given at her home in Bealey Avenue, in honour of Mrs Gerald Morrison, Cashmere Hills. Mrs Morrison will leave on March 5 for England, and each guest brought to this party a gift for her cabin. Bridge was played in the drawing-room, which was decorated with yellow and pink gladioli, and prizes were won by Mrs Morrison, Mrs A. Soanes and Mrs C. L. Lilly. Mrs Soanes wore a dress of lacquer red satin, and Mrs Morrison’s dove grey and blue patterned frock was worn under a grey coat, with a grey hat. Those present were ;—Mrs Morrison, Mesdames P. W. Soanes, T. Stubberfield, Arnold Soanes, W. Floyd. Neil M’Gilvrav, L. Benzie. J. Hall. Fraser Thompson, C. L. Lilley and Miss Kathleen Lilly.
