AGAIN OVERCAST.
Drizzle Experienced in Some Parts of City. Again this morning weather conditions in the fcity were overcast and there was a promise of rain. Gardeners and farmers have, however, been deceived by similar conditions on many occasions of late and to-day placed little faith in the signs in the sky. There was a light drizzle in some parts of the city during the night, but not sufficient to relieve the anxiety for gardens. In South Canterbury fairly heavy rain fell during the night, turning to a heavy drizzle this morning, which continued after midday. The temperature had taken a colder turn. A report from Oxford at 1 o’clock r.tated that the rain which started last night was still falling and was coming as a great relief to farmers.
