S.P.W.C. MEETING.
Plans for a street collection to be held on Wednesday, March 13, were discussed at a meeting of the New Zealand Society for the Protection of Women and Children held yesterday, Airs T. Tomlinson presiding. The organiser, Mr James Andrews, reported that the work was progressing satisfactorily. About 600 circulars would be issued appealing for collectors. It was advocated that in connection with the appeal, a publicity campaign be started through the newspapers. It was proposed by Air L. T. K. Allison and seconded by Mr P. G. Grant that all present at the meeting form a general committee to make further arrangements regarding the street day. It was also decided to set up a special committee to deal with the publicity. The next meeting will be held on Wednesday, February 20.
