“HIKIN’ THRU’.”

Stanley M’Kay’s 6th Change of Programme. " A Cruise of Pleasure ” will be presented finally to-morrow night at St James Theatre by Stanley M’Kay’s popular company, “ The Gaieties of 1935.” The company will present its sixth change of programme at the matinee on Saturday afternoon, at 2.30, when “ Hikin’ Thru’,” which should prove of special interest to the trampers of Christchurch, will be staged. Amongst the many new specialities in this offering is an act by The Flying Arabs, who will present something new in lightning tumbling and posing. The ladies who participate in this act are probably the finest female acrobats seen on the vaudeville stage. At the children’s gift martinee on Saturday at 2.30, a valuable pony, Mickey, will be presented to a lucky boy or girl. In addition, many other prizes are to be awarded. “ The Gaieties ” mystery “ bike hike ” will be held on February 17, the procession being headed by members of the company. Many prizes will be given for novelty competitions, including two for the best representations of Frank Perrin and Ike Delavale. The box plan is at the D.I.C. till 5.30 p.m., then at Theatre. Day sales are at Knight’s milk bar and theatre sweet shop.
