PRISONERS SENTENCED.
Probation for Youth Found Guilty of Manslaughter. Per Press Association. NAPIER, This Day. Prisoners were sentenced by Mr Justice Smith in the Supreme Court today as follows:—Maurice James Brooker, aged twenty j'ears, manslaughter, three years’ probation; Walter Poki, aged twenty-two years, assaulting a police constable, causing bodily harm, four months’ imprisonment; Henry Burton, aged twenty-two years, carnal knowledge, three months’ imprisonment.
