MOTUKARARA W.D.F.U.
Mrs 1,. Coop presided over a good attendance of members at the monthlymeeting of the Motukarara branch of the Women's Division of the Farmers’ Union, which was held in the gardens. A motion of sympathy was passed with the relatives of the late Mrs John Gebbie. Remits for the conference to be held in Christchurch next week were discussed. Miss Robertshaw (Uincoln College) gave an interesting demonstration on cheesemaking. Competitions resulted as follows:—Raspberry jam, Mrs C. Gray 1. Mrs V. Robinson 2; vase of flowers, Mrs L. Coop 1, Mrs W. F. Parkinson 2. Next month’s competition will be a decorated vegetable salad. The Teddington-Charteris Ray members were hostesses for the afternoon.
