POULTRY CLUB MEETS.
The Christchurch Poultry, Pigeon and Canary Club held a meeting in the Fanciers’ Hall last evening. Mr G. H. Bradford presided over a very large attendance. A motion of sympathy was passed with Mr W. Cummings in the death of his mother. Messrs S. F. Marshall and M. C. Craig wrote thanking the club for electing them sub-patrons. Mr H. Hearfield wrote thanking the club for electing him a sub-patron and forwarded the balance of his trophy account. He stated that he would be unable to reinstate the Hearfield Cup for future shows. Mr J. Barter was elected an honorary members and Mr T. Findley was nominated for membership. The New Zealand Cat Club and the Christchurch Toy Dog anrl Cat Club made a recommendation for the cages to be disiniected for all shows, this to apply also to rabbit cages. The proposal was agreed to. It was suggested that a points prize be awarded for the kitten classes. This was agreed to, the prize to be one guinea. The. suggestion that all cats be examined before being allowed in competition was agreed to.
