Annual Presentation of * Prizes. END OF SUCCESSFUL YEAR. The annual prize-giving ceremony was held at St Bede’s College last evening, when the headmaster (the Rev Father A. L. Burger, S.M.) said that he had never observed in any year such a fine spirit among the boys and Fathers as in the year just concluded. Father Burger then went on to outline the activities of a very successful year. The prizes were presented by the Hon W. Hayward, M.L.C., who delivered a short congratulatory address. The William Robert Friar Memorial prize, for the best cadet in Area 108, was presented to Under Officer T. M. s! De.w, of the St Bede’s College Cadet Corps. The prize, a shell-case trophy, was accompanied by a letter of congratulation from the headquarters of the Southern Command.
