BENEFIT CONCERT.
A concert organised by the Royal Christchurch Musical Society will be field in tfie Civic Tfieatre on Sundav next. December 16. in aid of the Rotary Club’s Christmas appeal. An
excellent and well-varied programme has been arranged by Mr A. G. Thompson. conductor of the society, in which choruses bv the members will be included, while solos also will be given by Miss Nellie Lowe, Master Warwick Humphreys. the hoy soprano. and Messrs H. Francis and .T. Tennant. During the evening Mendelssohn’s “Hear My Prayer" will be given bv the societv to the accompaniment of the ■errand oreran. played by Mr R. K. Lake, the soloist for this work being Mrs W. B. Harris. a recitation will also be n-iven by M’s.s W. M Smith, while Miss Nancy Estall will play a ’cello solo.
