DOUBLE PROGRAMME.
“ Warn London ” and “ Girls,
Please!”
A fine balance of comedy and drama makes the double-feature programme at the Civic this week, a very attractive one. The main dramatic feature, W arn London,” is an intriguing mvstery play. Edmund Gwenn heads the cast, and as Dr Krauss, a famous criminologist, he is seen in his best role. He is supported by a strong cast, which includes John Loder and Leonora Corbett (last seen in Love on \\ heels”). In happy contrast to this drama is the clean, clever comedy, “ Girls Please,” in which the incomparable Sydney Howard is seen in charge of a young ladies’ finishing school. There is not one dull moment in this comedy, Sydney Howard eclipsing any previous performance. Box plans are at the theatre.
