Australian Firm Buys Two Vessels. United Press Assn.—By Electric Telegraph—Copyright. SYDNEY, December 10. Burns, Philp have purchased the North German Lloyd’s vessels Neptun and Merkur, which were engaged in the China-Australia service. The sale is said to be the outcome of the desire of the German shipping firm to facilitate co-operation on international shipping, as well as to reach a friendly understanding in regard to the requirements of British and Australian lines.
