SIZE OF BLANKETS.
Women’s Division Desires Standard. Per Press Association. MASTERTON, December 10. The Dominion Executive of the Women’s Division of the Farmers’ Union recently took up with the Wellington Manufacturers' Association, the question of the size of blankets. A resolution was passed urging that single blankets be increased in length to that of double blankets. The interesting fact has been brought out that both manufacturers and retailers are in favour of standardising the manufacture of blankets. However, the manufacturers blame the retailers for blocking the adoption of this policy. The Dominion organisation of the retailers concerned declares that its members are wholly in favour of the standardisation of blankets and that the matte is entirely in the hands of the manufacturers.
