“BREAK UP” SOCIAL.
Lip-Reading and Vocational Classes. A happy evening was spent recently at the home of Mrs V. H. Line. Kipling Street, when members of the Spreydon lip-reading and vocational classes held their first annual “ break-up ” social. Mrs Moffett presented Mrs Line with a bouquet of roses, which had been sent by some of the members who were unable to be present. The evening was spent in competitions and many novel games. The winners were Mesdames Simmons, Brake. Donv, Woodcock, O’Brien and Misses Sepie, Lynham, Joseph and Neave. After supper Mrs Moffett presented Mrs Line with a purse of money as a token of appreciation and gratitude frorri the members of the classes. Mrs Line suitably replied.
